The words 'Welcome to the World' and a pair of footprints are gently pressed into the clay before I fire it to over 1000C, glaze it beautiful eggshell blue, dusty pink or soft grey, and then fired it again.
Once they have cooled down, I string wire and vintage buttons through so it makes a pretty wall decoration to give to a lucky new mama.
