Helen Chalmers - Pallas Celestial Studs, Handmade Glass

 These gorgeous studs are made with three layers of glass, the middle one is beautiful streaks made from silver inclusions sandwiched between a base colour (in this case translucent brown) and a magnifying layer of clear on top. Bigger than the usual mini studs at about 10mm so the detail is able to be seen. Made in a torch flame and carefully annealed in a kiln overnight to prevent any breakages these earrings would be perfect to complement an outfit or as a little gift to someone. The backs are Surgical Steel, a completely safe and hypo-allergenic metal. The steel backs are fused into the glass while it is still hot, so no glue is needed.
